I feel as though everything is just going in cycles. The world normally does go in cycles, but not so fast. Perhaps this is a symptom of this virus, or perhaps it's just more punishment. We shouldn't be able to remember the cycles, we should have lived full lives and died before cycles start again.
[Private to Ginny, Harry, Hermione, Neville, Ron] It's all very suspicious, isn't it? Professor Flitwick must have an Umgubular Slashkilter, else we wouldn't be confined to our common rooms. I've been told they can be rather violent animals, but their speciality is sniffing and hunting out deception. If Flitwick does have one, the truth of this matter will surface rather quickly.
Do you think someone else could have died? I'd like to think otherwise, but the worst things possible keep happening this year.
[Private to Hermione viewable by Professor Vector] Do you think we should create an extensive list of those who had already contracted the virus? Find out their heritage, blood, hometown, religion, anything they might have in common? It might have already been done, though I haven't seen a hint of that. By looking at commonalities, we might be able to find what sorts of Gods may be punishing us.

I've been thinking about the virus lately. Has anyone considered that it's not a "magical" virus, but a "punishment" of sorts?
In the past, almost all cultures constantly and consistently offered sacrifices to higher powers. By doing so, they ensure their safety on voyages, during the birthing process, having a bountiful season for crops, and so on. They prayed to their God or Gods for such things as well. I don't recall ever doing this, do you?
The Black Death was thought to be a punishment because people were so sinful. It seems as though there has been no progress with how or what causes it. Maybe we should take a look at the people that did have the virus, and see if they have anything in common? Something that a higher power might want to punish, or perhaps they are just causalities of an example? Since the virus has seemed to stopped, maybe we have been punished enough.
What was the message?
